How it Works

Ordering Open Farm is a painless process that involves selecting the food type and the recipe you want, as well as the amount of food you’d like to receive. All orders are shipped via FedEx, and they’ll typically arrive within one to four business days. If you ordered food that requires refrigeration, like their gently cooked meals, they will be shipped frozen to preserve freshness. 

Once it’s time to feed your favorite four-legged friend, you’ll follow their simple feeding instructions to portion out the right amount of food. Their serving recommendations are based on each dog’s weight and activity level, so you can be sure your pup is getting the precise nutrition and calories she needs.

The Food

All Open Farm recipes are formulated with the support of nutrition, animal science and food manufacturing experts, including an Animal Nutritionist and a PhD Food Scientist.

The recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by AAFCO, and all of their food and treats are tested by third party accredited labs for nutritional content, pathogens, heavy metals and other contaminants, to ensure they satisfy the strictest nutritional and food safety standards. 

Open Farm meticulously chooses and sources every ingredient they use—everything comes from the most humane and ethical farms, fisheries and producers. Every provider they work with is continually audited to ensure they meet the highest safety and quality standards. They use 100 percent humanely raised, antibiotic- and growth hormone-free meats, wild-caught and sustainably sourced fish, plus nutrient-dense, non-GMO veggies and superfoods. There are no antibiotics or growth hormones, or artificial flavors or fillers in their foods. All of their Rustic Stews, Rustic Blends, Gently Cooked and Bone Broth Recipes include human grade ingredients and are made in a human grade facility. (Their Dry, Freeze Dried Raw and Treat recipes cannot be labeled “human grade” simply because they are produced in a pet food facility—the ingredients in these are just as high quality as their other recipes).
