Viva Raw Dog Food Review

My dog is such a picky eater but LOVES the meals here. The staff have REALLY helped me figure out what's best for her, they took the time and patience to answer all my questions and go through her past food habits to see what she would love the most. The beef and potato meal is her fave. Also The place itself is also so nice and clean my dog is clearly spoiled.

I finally took the plunge after the vet told me (AGAIN) that Marvin needed to lose weight. These folks aren't kidding about the two weeks to change your dog's life. Marvin has already lost some of the weight he needs to lose AND, he really does seem more energetic and happier. I'm happy that I gave them a try and even happier that I feel like I made a positive change in Marvin's life!

I rarely write reviews but I just had to for this food. Our 14-year old, 14 lb (a little overweight) dog was healthy, and we had been giving him Orijen kibble (high end kibble) for most of his life. But every time we had his bloodwork panel done at the vet, his liver ALT levels were slightly raised. Normal ALT liver values are between 12- 118, and his was always 226.Every time. The vet said it wasn't high enough to worry about, but since he's getting older we decided to switch to JFFD. After four months on this food, his liver ALT VALUES WENT FROM 226 TO 86! Our vet was amazed. His eyes no longer weep, the fur on his arms and legs, which had gotten sparse in old age, suddenly started growing long and shiny, and he no longer chews his paws. He went from14 lbs down to 12.5 lbs, which is the perfect weight for him. His energy is through the roof...at 14 years old! I've always liked the idea of fresh food vs kibble, but honestly, I never expected it to have such a huge impact on his overall health. The food itself looks delicious, and even the fish recipe (which we use), doesn't even smell that fishy (or really at all). Wow. Amazing. Try this if you can.
